This policy explains how the Bleckley County Republican Party handles information associated with visits to bleckleygop.org and correspondence sent to the email addresses listed on the website.

Information you provide by email

The website provides email links for contacting us. These links open your email application; they do not submit a contact form through the website.

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any name, attachments, or other information you choose to provide. We use your email address to reply to correspondence. We do not use it for newsletters, fundraising messages, or other political outreach.

We may share email addresses with other party officials for the purpose of responding to correspondence. This permission does not extend to sharing addresses with outside mailing lists or campaigns for outreach.

We retain email messages for 30 days and email addresses indefinitely. These are separate retention practices: deleting a message does not necessarily remove its sender’s address from our retained contact information.

Email sent to addresses published on this website may be forwarded to the appropriate party official’s email account. Email routing and mailbox providers process messages under their applicable service terms and privacy policies.

Information processed automatically

We use Cloudflare to host, deliver, and help protect the website, and to provide traffic and performance analytics.

In providing these services, Cloudflare processes technical information about requests to the website. Information available through our traffic reports includes:

  • IP addresses and countries associated with requests;
  • requested pages, resources, and hostnames;
  • browser, operating system, device type, and user-agent information; and
  • request timing, data transfer, response codes, and other technical traffic information.

These reports include automated requests, such as search-engine crawlers and other bots, as well as human browsing. A request, visit, or IP address does not necessarily identify a distinct person.

We use this information to understand website usage and performance and to help maintain and protect the website. Cloudflare processes and retains service data according to its applicable service settings and policies. The 30-day email-message retention period above does not apply to Cloudflare’s traffic or analytics records.

Our website also includes Cloudflare’s browser-based Web Analytics beacon, which reports page usage and performance measurements. Cloudflare states that this analytics product does not use cookies or local storage to collect usage metrics and does not fingerprint visitors for analytics. This browser-based analytics service is distinct from the request and security information Cloudflare processes while delivering the website.

For more information, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Browser storage and cookies

The website uses browser storage for the following functions:

Storage Purpose Duration
Local storage Remembers your chosen light or dark theme Until you clear the entry or your browser removes it
Session storage Restores your search terms, unfinished search input, selected labels, category, sort order, and scroll position For the browser tab’s session; browser session-restoration features may preserve it longer

These storage mechanisms are different from cookies. Our website code does not set cookies. Cloudflare may use security cookies when required by the protections or challenges applied to a request; this is separate from Cloudflare Web Analytics.

You can clear cookies and site storage through your browser’s settings. Clearing site storage removes saved preferences and search state, so those features may reset.

Website searches

Searches are performed in your browser using a search index downloaded from the website. The site does not submit searches to an external search engine.

Search terms and selected filters are included in the page address so searches can be restored or shared. If you open, reload, or share such an address, those terms and filters may be transmitted as part of the address to the website’s hosting service or to the person receiving the link. A link can therefore reveal what you searched for.

Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics product does not log URL query strings. This does not mean that search terms included in an address can never be received or processed by hosting or security services.

The website links to election resources, organizations, news sources, and other external websites. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. This policy does not govern those services.

Security

The website uses HTTPS to encrypt connections between your browser and the website. No website, email service, or method of electronic storage can guarantee complete security. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your inquiry.

Changes to this policy

We will post changes to this policy on this page and update its effective date. The policy should be reviewed when our information practices change.
