The 2026 General Election is upon us. It’s again time for us to defend our freedom and liberty by exercising our right and responsibility to vote. Even though President Trump is not on the ballot, his America First agenda is. President Trump and Republicans have made phenomenal accomplishments since the 2024 election. But, if Democrats are elected to Congress during this midterm election, the America First agenda will be stalled; no further progress will be made until the 2028 election. Congress will be mired in endless investigations, subpoenas, hearings and impeachment proceedings. Any laws that a Democrat-controlled Congress may pass will thankfully be vetoed by the President. President Trump’s executive orders will not be codified into law and will be subject to reversal by a future administration. We must take the time to vote and to elect Republicans to Congress.

State offices are no less important. If Keisha Lance Bottoms and other Democrats are elected to statewide offices, they will do to the rest of Georgia what Mayor Bottoms has done to Atlanta. Instead of reducing income and property taxes, the Democrats will raise them to pay for their socialist agenda. $500 income tax rebates will end. Energy costs, which are some of the lowest in the nation, will go up to pay for alternative energy. Criminals’ rights will be prioritized over victims’ rights, budgets for police and other law enforcement officers will be cut and economic growth will be stifled. By electing Republicans like Rick Jackson to state office, the progress made by Gov. Brian Kemp and his administration will continue.

Unless Republicans and conservative Independents show up to vote, much of the progress over the last eight years will be lost. The best way to vote is to avail yourself of early, in-person voting. The advantages of early, in-person voting are:

  • You skip election-day lines. It’s fast and it’s easy.
  • You vote at your convenience. If you’re already in town, just pop by the office and in 5 to 10 minutes, you’re done.
  • Your vote will be banked in case unforeseen circumstances prevent you from voting on election day.
  • Weather is not an issue. You can vote when the weather is nice.
  • If there is an issue with your registration or voting, all of the official records are there in the office.
  • You don’t have to drive, park your vehicle or walk in the dirt or mud.
  • Parking is much closer to the office and the voting booth.
  • Personal assistance, if needed, is very quick.
  • The Courthouse Annex is climate controlled.

So, hurry to the Courthouse Annex and vote on or before October 30. When you go, go prepared. Take your photo ID and know the candidates. You can review the candidates in the 2026 General Election and the Greater Georgia Ballot Guide.
